Black Bean Dip

 


1 Tablespoon chopped green chilis
¼ cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained
½ cup plain nonfat greek yogurt
½ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon salt

Place chilies, onion, garlic, and beans in blender or food processor. Cover and blend, or process, until almost smooth. Stir in yogurt, cumin, and salt.

Serve with chips or crackers. Can be served hot or cold.

To heat on the stove, put in saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until hot. To heat in microwave, put in microwave safe container and microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until hot.

Makes about 2 cups.
