Baked Ham with Cola Glaze

From Geraldine Vonella

12 Servings

  • 10 pounds bone-in ham, or 6 pounds boneless ham
  • 1 12-ounce can cola (regular, not diet)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar

Preheat oven to 325° F.

Score the top of the ham, and place in a roasting pan. Pour the entire can of cola over the ham, tent it with foil, and bake for 15 minutes per pound, basting every 15 to 30 minutes with the cola in the pan.

30 minutes before completion, remove the foil and coat the ham with brown sugar.

Remove from the oven, transfer to a platter, and let rest for 10 to 30 minutes. Carve into slices and serve.

Note: If you like, you can reserve the pan drippings, which can be spooned over the sliced ham to add extra sweetness.
